Why is this happening and what can you do to solve this issue?

There is limited information on this issue, keep in mind that what information I did get about this issue is from other people who own Teslas and have experienced this issue also. One of the main reasons why this may be happening to your Tesla is a bad battery.

Below I will be going over why your Tesla is giving you a message saying “electrical system is Unable to support all features’ ‘.

1. Issue With Your Battery

When running into the issue of your electrical system not being able to support all features can be super frustrating. Especially when this issue can cause your vehicle to shut down unexpectedly and possibly not be able to restart it.

The most common reason this is happening is due to your battery. Either your battery is low quality or faulty, when your vehicle does not get the power it needs you will see features start to fail.

When you see this error appear some of the features that go first are the heated seats, heating in the cab, AC, and more. The reason why these features shut down is because your Tesla is trying to conserve power.

Note, that when this error message appears your Tesla may shut down unexpectedly and you may not be able to restart your Tesla. If this is the case you may not be able to do the hard reset and should contact the Tesla Support Team.

Before going over how to do a hard reset on your Tesla I will say this should be done by a professional.

The only reason that you should be doing this on your own is you either know how to work on a Tesla, or you live far away and can not contact a professional or an appointment at the Tesla Service Center.

  1. On your touchscreen tap on the car icon.
  2. Tap on Services.
  3. Select Factory Reset.

4. Faulty Power Conversion System (PCS)

The Power Conversion System (PCS) is a device for the bidirectional conversion of electrical energy between the grid and/or load and the battery. This could also be the reason behind the error message that your electrical system is unable to support all features.

My Final Thoughts

In conclusion, the main reason that you are seeing the message that your electrical system is unable to support all features is your battery. Replace your battery by calling and scheduling an appointment with the Service Team.

As previously stated in some cities there are Mobile Services that will come to your home and replace the battery without you having to go anywhere.
